What to do with your family in Fort Wayne after a big snowstorm?

Finally the snow has settled down and it’s safe to drive out on the roads. We got stuck at home with a lot of cancellations like school, work or activities you had planned, so now what? Its time for the weekend and your kids are ready to get out of the house and you probably are too. Well luckily we got A LOT of snow, 7-10 inches. Now we can get outside and spend some quality time with our kids that are begging us to go sledding or to play in the snow! We did some research and had some memorable moments at these places so here are some hills you can bring the whole family to enjoy!

Johnny Appleseed parking

1500 E Coliseum Blvd

It’s a perfect hill and not to steep

Shoaff Park

6401 St. Joe Road

The hill is on the driving range with a bigger hill close by it.

Whispering Meadows (Southwest Allen County)

811 Brae brook dr

Take the side walk where you see the benches and then it’ll lead to a small hill with a steeper hill all in one spot!

Easy to medium size hill so you have options!

Whispering Meadows (Southwest Allen County)

9404 whispering woods

Small trail between houses but not far. Find the sidewalk and follow it to the hill.

This hill is a little steeper and the sled goes faster, recommended for those that like have a need for speed when it comes to sledding!

Brookside church (Northeast Fort Wayne)

6102 Evard Road

When you pull into the parking lot the hill Is straight ahead, park at the far end of the parking lot and start walking until you see the drop off. You’ll notice there’s different heights throughout this area so it’s fun for everyone!

If you park behind the church there’s another smaller hill and parking right in front of it!

We hope you all have a great weekend and if you check out one of these areas, let us know how it was!! Stay warm, and stay safe everyone!
